Our Field
Is in the Guangxi Province of the China where we served 453 low income students in 84 schools in 2006 and 428 students in 90 schools in 2007. We give school supplies to primary and middle school students and tuitions to students in secondary schools in Yangshuo and Qinzhou, China. We funded five college scholarships in 2006 and 22 in 2007. We began a new program in Taichung, Taiwan in the fall of 2007, but it only began as a trial program with 10 primary students.
We are also fostering global friendships through pen and e-mail pals, sister school relationships with American schools and personal visits of our Blessing Hands intern and other volunteer and sponsors. We encourage our students to pass on their knowledge and resources, planting seeds for those who come after them just as they received a harvest from us.
