Your Immediate Help is Needed - Lufei Children's FUND
One of our students, Zhang Lufei, drown in the recent flood in Yangshuo. Little girls are not suppose to die young. On the 13th of June 2008 she fell into a ditch of rushing water. Efforts to save her were unsuccessful and "She did not live on." She was 8 years old and attended Aishan Primary School. We are determined that she will “live on” and have established a Children's Fund to honor her and help other girls in Yangshuo with their education.
Help us Honor Lufei by Donating to the Children's Fund
Lufei's sponsor, Nina Ottinger, first visited with her just last October 2007. Nina loved Lufei's sweet face and
nature. Lufei even asked Nina to sit with her during a program of the Yangshuo Blessing Hands students. Nina picked Lufei because she was about the same age as her
own adopted Chinese daughter.
Lufei, like most of our children, came from a farm family that has two measures of land. Her grandmother raised her after her mother left the family. The family income is listed in our records as 200 yuan ($30 US). Lufei was in the second grade.
